Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas! We had Cindy's traditional Christmas Eve at her aunt's home in San Jose. But we started a new tradition this year by hosting Christmas Day at our home. The kids opened lots of presents (thank you!), and we feasted on turkey, ham and all the trimmings.

What's this Photostream thingy?

Jaden relaxingMany of you are familiar with the <photo sets> that I link to on Flickr. But sometimes I upload photos to Flickr without a Set, and you can browse those in my Photostream. As Flickr describes it, "Your photostream is a history of everything you have ever uploaded in Flickr."

You can click the photo of Jaden above to see photos in the photostream you may not have seen before. When you get there, there will be thumbnails on the right that let you go forward and back in the photostream, or you can click the Photostream title to see a fuller view.

YSM Deserves More Kudos, Less Flak

Yahoo! Search Marketing

I've been asked by friends and family about "this Panama thing". Why is it late? Why can't we get it right? Why did it make their shares of YHOO drop in price? And of course why can't I fix it?

I've heard some heroic stories about the Yahoo! folks working on Panama. In some ways, it is a horror of a situation for them to overcome. But as Filo pointed out at our last company all-hands, every team at Yahoo! has contributed or sacrificed in some way for Panama. And here's a great post from an outsider (RKG Engineering) who has a better view of Yahoo!'s Project Panama than many of us. In short, the team deserves more kudos and less flak.
